Scrap-tastic Fun!
I love to scrap! I have never had a hobby that I love as much as I love scrapping! What a creative outlet it has become for me. I'm thrilled to be able to leave a little something of my memories for my two sons to pass down to their children and grandchildren. I hope that they enjoy looking as much as I did scrapping!

OK, so I share my scrap room with my mother who just had her 77th birthday. Recently, I redecorated the scrap room without asking her opinion on colors and I chose bright colors. Hot pink, blue and lime green with white furniture. That means that yes, I painted everything. I also hung a flourescent light fixture. Well, it is amazing to find that each day, there is "commentary" about the color choices. I've heard "Ice Cream Parlor" comments, "It's certainly Bright" comments and last night I heard how "If the neighbors drive by when the light is on, they will see a rainbow.". The truth is, I wanted the scrap room to be bright and cheery and fun. Scrapbooking is a fun and happy thing to me and I would like for the space to reflect that. I don't have pictures up yet, but am working on it. The cable ordered for the camera, didn't work. :( Maybe, just maybe, I can get it take care of. In the meantime, I'm getting ready for the scrapbooking retreat coming up. Less than two weeks now!

So, I have finally finished organizing my scrap room and have painted the table. I also bought a new transfer cable for the camera, so I can upload the pictures. I wast to go through the room and take different pictures and different angles, so, SOON, I will get that done and posted.
I have been scrapping a little bit lately. I was working on an About Me album. If you have not done that yet, you should. From what I can see, it is going to be a long haul. I didn't realize how hard it would be to scrap about me. I can scrap like a crazy woman when scrapping anyone else! So, I've been scrapping a little bit lately and I got a kind of "creativity block". Well, this morning, I went to our local thrift store and found a ton of Creating Keepsakes magazines (who throws them out??) and got them. 3 magazines for a dollar! Who could resist??
So, soon, I will be in the scrapping swing of things once again!

Re-Organizing ... Again
Well, I've been reorganizing my craft room again ... for a few weeks now. I think that I have finally found a color scheme and decor that I like. It all started with Pinterest. (Thank you Aimee and Kim). While browsing Pinterest one evening, I came across a beautiful bulletin board made out of an old picture frame, cork board pieces and fabric. I love it! So, the next day, I went in search of fabric. At Joanne's, I found a beautiful floral fabric in bright greens, blues and pinks. Yes, bold, bright colors and so different from what I usually had. I have to say, the bright colors are the fault of my dear friend and scrapping buddy, Kandy. Some time ago, she gave me some little plastic boxes and metal buckets in, you guessed it, pink, green and blue. Once I saw the fabric, I knew it would match those little buckets and *boom* the color scheme was born. Now, at the dismay of my husband, my craft room is in Pink (hot pink), Green (loud green) and blue (turquoise). Yes, it is vibrant and loud and I LOVE IT. I will go into more detail and post photos soon. I just have got to find the transfer cable for the camera. Grrr.
Have a great night!

I've been away ...
I have been away for a long, long time but I hope to use this blog to chronicle my scrapbooking in the year 2012. In 2011, I didn't have much of an opportunity to scrap as I would have liked and I want this year to be different. I may, from time to time, babble on about something other than crafts on my blog, but please bare with me. I am making changes within myself and you guys just may get the brunt of my ramblings. I need an outlet and this just may well be in. As for scrapping, I hope to journal my endeavors here, along with tutorials, or at least photos from start to finish. Not that I am a professional scrapper by any means, but I do want a record of sorts. It is fact that I am going through some things in my personal life right now and I hope that this blog, along with my scrappy friends, I will be able to get through everything with a smile.
In the meantime, please feel free to babble along with me!!
I hope every one had a Merry Christmas and hope that you and your families enjoy a prosperous New Year!!
